Since today was the inauguration, we had it on tv all morning. Kai would clap when he saw me clap or even when he heard the crowds on tv clapping. So, it was very fitting that at the end of Obama's speech, he clapped and actually let me take a video of him. If you listen closely, you'll hear the last few words of Obama speaking on the tv. Kai was sitting on my lap, which is why the camera isn't 100% on him. This is one of the first times in the past few months, I've been able to take a picture or video of him (maybe because he didn't notice?). He's decided he wants to be the one behind the camera!
Being a part of history and understanding it's important enough to clap....priceless!
(Editor's Note: This is from just after his birthday in December!)
So now I'm TWO. Two is pretty great because it means you're old enough to start doing things for yourself. Like unwrap presents. And sing. But more on that later.
Mommy took me on my actual birthday to the Aquarium. They have manta rays, groupers, frogs, otters, seals and turtles. And there's also this playroom where you get to put cylinders of confetti through holes. Mighty fascinating.
And then there was my party! Since I ADORE Word World, Mommy decided to make me a Word World cake. It was pretty cool. But one of the best parts was all of the balloons! Oh, and the people, too, of course! At the end of the party, we busted out guitar hero and I finally got to sing!
