Boys just wanna have fun

When you're a big boy, you get to do all this cool stuff. I can't wait until I'm a big-big boy. Until then, I'll just have to make sure there are lots of big boys around me to make me laugh. Here are a few good times with the "big boys" in my life.

Hanging with the big boys

I got to talk to my best buddy, Kuya Lucas, on Mother's Day over the internet. It's like I'm right there with him whenever we talk on Skype. And my big buddy, Mateo, was with me. Even though I'm older, he's still bigger. When the heck is that going to stop?

The big boys in my neighborhood are so cool. I just love it when we have them over. Sometimes Mommy pays them to spend time with me, but other times they're just bored so they come and hang. I can't wait until I can play real soccer one day.

Grandpa came up for a visit and taught me the best trick ever! It's called "hairsty, hairsty, CHOP!" and you get to slap the person across the face. It's very fun. Mommy said I can only do it on Grandpa, though. I hope he comes to visit more often.

So Daddy and Mommy finally took me to see my friends in Boston in the beginning of May. Sam and Ben had the coolest set up in their playroom. They had garbanzo beans to play with! So, while they were playing with the playdough, I got to take full advantage of having the garbanzo beans and buckets all to myself! What a fun toy.

Even though it was rainy and chilly, we got to hang out with some animals in the park (some of them stayed still, and some of them moved)! I personally preferred the ones that moved, but there seemed to be a lot of people captivated by the ones that didn't! Go figure!

We stayed with my friends, Aiden and Dillon. I didn't really like going to bed in a new place, but one of the cool things they had was chickens in the backyard! And although Mommy didn't let me play with them up close (I think she was afraid I'd try to hug them like I hug Cosmo), I had a lot of fun watching them from the window. And since Cosmo got to come with us, Cosmo liked to watch them, too!

Daddy gave me a bath when we finally got home, and I was so excited, I couldn't wait to get in the tub. Soon I'll be able to crawl over the edge of the tub on my own!

Editor's Note: this week's WebAlbum has lots of videos. He's just interacting so well with the world, it's hard to only capture it in still frames.

We've had some fun times over the past few weeks at home. Kai learns quickly about the world around him and experiments with it. He makes me laugh with the fun uses he finds for things (i.e. the basket).

He's gotten used to being in charge of Cosmo's food and will dictate when and how Cosmo gets to eat. While it's good to teach Cosmo that he's fourth-in-line, it's also a bit much to spend an hour eating (30 minutes for him, 30 minutes for the dog). But, we put in time now so everything will be smooth in the future!

He gets in and out of the little red wagon all on his own (without falling!), and he's getting really good about stacking blocks. Now if only we could work on putting things away....

His favorite TV show by far is Yo Gabba Gabba (thanks to Tito Tom and Lucas for getting him addicted). Anyways, Kai LOVES this show. So much so, that as soon as he hears the music, he goes RUNNING into the living room to see the TV. And he'll start to make the arm motions that DJ Lance Rock does. It's really pretty cute. Maybe soon he'll be old enough to do the "My Name is Kai! I like to DANCE!" bit.

The last video is my attempt of helping soothe his gums. Thankfully, he last first year molar is in. Now we just have to wait for the four eye teeth (hopefully they'll be less painful since they're pointy). I gave him a fruit icee and either it was too cold or he didn't like the flavor, but he kept making this face. Since he doesn't make that face often about new foods, I found it to be quite funny.

NYC or BUST!

Daddy wanted me to come and visit him in NYC. So, finally, when Ninang Vickie and Dave came into town, they all took me to see him. Boy, was it FUN!

NYC or bust!

Since it was Passover weekend, Dave brought his very famous (and crunchy) matzah farfel. They said if I ate it, I wouldn't poop for a day, but it tasted much better than my Cheerios (it must have been the cinnamon)! When we finally got to the city, we first went to the best store: APPLE. Daddy and I love that store. And I guess Dave did, too, since he was almost as excited as Daddy. Daddy thought he was showing me how to work the computer, but he doesn't understand that he's pretty much obsolete and I know the technology better than he. But, you have to humor old people.

Then we got to walk through the city streets and see all the people and all the sounds. There were many things for sale, but my fave was the guy selling bubbles. The guy had a great "bubbles voice."

After I tried eloquently to let Mommy know it was a disgrace to be naked in the parking lot, we got in the car. (Editor's Note: By "eloquently," he means temper tantrum!) I finally got to hold my Rafi and it was off to dream land for me. On Sunday we just hung out and laid low. What better time for me to show off my pictures on my web albums?
