Kai was just diagnosed with Croup this past Monday. We made it home from Cleveland from the holidays before his poor body succumbed to all the coughing. He sounds like a little seal with every cough. Poor guy. And although we potentially passed it on to his four cousins and a friend, we had a great time in Cleveland.
So for New Years, we're trying to keep our germs to ourselves and are staying in. Which isn't as bad as it sounds, because Kai has more new toys to play with and I've got plenty of little projects to keep me busy. And since RJ doesn't have school anymore, he's thinking about starting to play W.O.W. again. With the snow storm that started this morning and hasn't stopped yet, it's a good day for naps, movie watching and snuggling. Now if only the coughing stopped...

Still cleaning up the WebAlbum while Kai's napping away...here's from October
Kai has a fascination with shoes. He likes to wear ours, especially when we tell him it's time to put his shoes on, he'll go and run to put on a pair of ours. We went pumpkin looking (didn't buy any, just looked, although Kai did try to pick some of them up!) at a local church that has a pumpkin patch every year. And he LOVES leaves. He'll pick them up all the time and just hold them. Most of the time, he'll pick up a leaf (or two) in each hand and hold it the entire time we're in the car. Thankfully he doesn't object too much when I tell him "leaves stay outside" and therefore will only pick them up and hold them when we're outside.

I was trying to find all the WebAlbums I hadn't had a chance to put on the blog yet and this was one of them from the summer! If only it were warm and sunny now instead of snowing and cold! I just have to keep reminding myself: there are seasons for a reason!
The pictures are from our times at the beach, the sprinkler park and the town pool in June and July. Kai loves all forms of water!
